Even though I love fashion, I have to admit that I’m a t-shirt and jeans kind of girl. I never thought I would be, and when I actually get away from work I’m usually not, but I won’t be sitting around the house in a dress and pantyhose with my cat and dog running wild and hairy- there’s just no point.
The great thing about t-shirts, as I’ve mentioned in previous blogs, is their artistic versatility. You can have just about anything you want on a shirt be it Tiger, Flag, Police Brutality or fractal disturbance. They can be expressive, simple, personal or representative of your personality or beliefs. They can also come in many fits, thicknesses and styles – and it’s still a tee (even if people choose to call it a tunic). None of this is news to most of you but I like to promote tees for those reasons and more. My main motivation being it’s a major place for artists to express themselves and I’m always supportive of that.
When I found UrbanCove, a company from the UK dedicated to offering unique clothing, I was happy to find their store teeming with a most excellent selection of designs and styles to fit anyones t-shirt needs. They also have some great men’s plaids, a near necessity for summer music festivals.
I love their choices of designs and designers. Tees for the stylish, smart and serious, featuring vintage signs, union jacks from Duke and Winston and biological diagrams and astrological sketches from Ivory Skies. Tees for the modern comfort lovin thinker, featuring designs from political messages from Dead Cities to flying pigs from Glamour Kills, and tees for the funky homosapien by Das Monk and Arka Doves – Representing the desires of urban fashion lovers with unique clothing from around the world.
We teamed up with UrbanCove to offer readers an awesome deal of 15% off their great tees, plaids, jackets and more using the promo code streetfashion at checkout!
Here’s some of my favorite styles from their new summer stock:
