I’m excited to announce the first contest of its kind on Street-Fashion.net – a chance for our UK readers and bloggers to win a 4-star minibreak in Amsterdam for 2 (accommodation + flights), a shopping fund of £150 to spend when you get there, and a cocktail experience at the House of Bols cocktail bar! (UK Residents, 18 and over)
The competition starts with street fashion, specifically, your best attempt at dressing like some of the stylish Dutch people. To help you get some ideas, I’ve dressed up myself and had a great time picking out items based on my favorite Dutch members of the Street Fashion Group.
To enter:
- Be over 18 years old and a UK resident – Women & Men may enter!
- Check out some photos from the group to get ideas! – Amsterdam Street Fashion
- Write your blog post, explaining the look – if you don’t have a blog, you can start a tumblr or blogger blog in seconds.
- Create your Amsterdam look and post this on your blog with the title “My Amsterdam look for the easyJet holidays competition”. Describe the look and link back to the contest page. Then email confirmation of your entry with the same subject title as your blog post to [email protected] with a link to your blog and include your name, address and phone number. After the competition closes me and 2 other bloggers will pick the winner – so good luck!
My Amsterdam Street Fashion Style:
I noticed that I saw a lot of women in street fashion from Amsterdam wearing tights and leggings, with anything from dresses to long tees, so I went for solid black tights – then of course boots are always in style, in Amsterdam particularly, so I went with some thrifted black Frys boots.
A lot of women’s street style in Amsterdam is pretty feminine, dresses, scarves, tights etc, so in staying true with that I decided on a lightly colored baby-doll dress with black cats and black bows, and I choose to go a little rocker with a faux leather cropped moto jacket in coral pink – with matching pink to red gradient hair.
Most of my favorite Amsterdam Street Fashion photos have a little euro-rocker edge to them and creatively dyed hair.
