5 Chunky Winter Boots Done Right

For most of us, It’s winter. For me, it’s 3 feet of snow, others, none, but for those of us who will get cold feet, need traction AND want to look good at the same time, here are a few of our top picks this winter boots – for guys and gals!

These boots make me happy. I wore boots like these all through highschool and never wore them out or got tired of them.. I did one day however, walk on a beach and get sea water on them, that was the end of them sadly. But here’s another chance at some chunky boot, grungy, sloppy-hot style for the winter! They may not be the warmest boots but that’s what double docks are for. I never let it stop me from wearing them on the iciest of streets. They’re also pretty great for hiking. At first the weight can be strange to get used to but in no time you’ll be a lifelong fan of Dr. Martens!

Patagonia Activist Puff High Waterproof Boots – The Lumberjack

When you live in Colorado like I am this winter, you need some REAL BOOTS. These Patagonia Activist Waterproof boots are awesome for snow over 3 inches, which is something we have lots of this year (3 feet at the moment). They won’t keep your knees dry but they cinch all the way to the top to keep snow out of your socks, they’re super warm and cozy in temps well below freezing and they’re original looking. Chunky without being too manly.

J-41 Duchess – The Russian Look

These things are stylish.. they feature micro-suede, brushed vegan and faux fur upper, the new Duchess is completely waterproof and features an extremely comfortable memory foam footbed that will enable you to feel amazing all day long! Given how tall they are, they’re especially great for dealing with deep snow and cold climates but you also get to look awesome… sort of a russian hat look.. but on a boot.
