It’s more of a “Fashion Fact” than a “Fashion Feeling”, that sheer dresses, tops and skirts are really popular this spring. Light colors, prints, completely or partially see through – sheer is it.
Sheer tops have always been easy to find vintage though if you look at thrift stores, it seems they are often damaged or stained. In high school, I used to give a few sheer tops a go, wearing them with my leather biker jacket and mohawk. It made for a pretty interesting look that I think would actually work quite well if done right, and maybe this spring is the time to pull them out of the closet.
Possibly inspired by a sudden and warm spring for many places, sheer is great for a sexy yet mature look that can be accessorized to take on a myriad of directions, from ultra feminine to tough and untouchable.
I can’t wait to see more sheer looks as spring goes on!
