BRIGHT RED LIPSTICK
Albeit, rather daring, bright red lipstick was particularly popular in the 1940 and 1950s due to Marilyn Monroe’s influence. The classic red trend faded, as new colours were introduced and people started to become more experimental in the Swinging Sixties, but today, with some of the largest names in Hollywood, such as Taylor Swift following in Marilyn Monroe’s footsteps by wearing bright red lipstick, this trend has boomeranged back into fashion.
PEARLS VS. DIAMONDS

LEGGINGSLeggings were absolutely huge in the 1980s, and today, they are coming back with gusto! Indeed, you would be hard pressed to find a workout video from the 1980s and nineties where the instructor was not wearing a colourful pair of leggings… even the men.
Today, it would appear leggings are almost taking the place of trousers, in that they are no longer restricted to use in the gym, they serve the purpose of half-trouser and half-tights, turning what could otherwise receive a shock reaction due to being so skimpily clad, into a perfectly normal outfit due to their dark colour.
