Getting Rich Is No Dream is the full name of GRIND London, and between that and their upcoming collection titled “Karma Drama“, they were an instant favorite. An attitude of realism, an acceptance of life mistakes and an overall goal of self betterment through great music, culture and style is what their newest collection represents to me. – Maybe that’s getting a bit deep but I tend to do that sometimes..
Existential epiphany’s aside, their new collection speaks for itself – and as if you didn’t already like enough looking at their stuff, their about page will suck you in for a good hour of music and memories from the 80s and 90s. Don’t have any memories from the 80s and 90s? Well now you can see what you missed out on (believe me, you missed out).
‘Karma Drama‘ ” pays homage to the eternal struggle between right and wrong, and the inevitable consequences that follow actions,”. Youssef Metwali from GRIND /London was quoted as saying – “As much as I’ve always disliked campaigns or collections from brands that have attempted to cover spiritual/ ‘greater meaning’ topics, I felt it was a concept we could justify through a more subtle approach – an embracing of the ‘wrong choices’”.
We all have made our wrong choices and whether you believe in Karma or not, the concept still lives on, even in the logical of minds. “If you do something wrong, do not be surprised if something bad happens to you” – call is superstition but it’s apart of our world culture, embedded in our language, our subconscious worries, and for some of us, it affects how we act (..although being an ethical human shouldn’t come only with influence or fear or repercussion.).
Karma Drama is available on GRIND’s website September 1st!
Also check out their stock from previous collections – also awesome stuff!
