Important Face Care No One Ever Taught You Before Now

Taking care of your skin is so important. Not only for younger looks but also to avoid long term problems that can come up like sun spots and melanoma. I have used pretty decent face washes and lotions for a long time but there was a time in my 20s when my skin was so sensitive that Ivory soap was the only thing I could use. It actually took me years to make my skin tolerate more complicated formulas and oils but it was so worth it when I committed.

Hopefully most of you don’t have as sensitive of skin as me. I’ve been using vitamin C, Retinol, Sunblock, Toners, and even Rice Water for about 4 years daily now and people usually think I’m about 10 years younger than I am. The latest thing I’m trying is a Vitamin C Hyaluronic Acid Serum from Korea. The more I watch k-dramas, the more and more appealing all the proven Korean Skin Care Beauty products become. Skin care is such a routine part of some people’s lives from such a young age I can’t help but imagine what my skin would look like if I’d started even younger!

The other two products I think everyone should use are Hyaluronic Acid, and Sunscreen. Sunscreen is an absolute MUST! I live in an area where the UV levels near 10 almost every single day and I’ve met people in their 20s who look 35 due to the amount of sun they get. I can’t stress enough how important it is.

We all see the products on the shelves and websites but rarely do we know what they actually do. I’ve done the research so you don’t have to so check out this important information about these common and affordable skin care products – this info is for women, men, nb’s, and everyone btw! Let’s help each other out and share this info with a friend!

Vitamin C

Vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant that can help protect your skin from damage caused by free radicals. Free radicals are unstable molecules that can damage your skin cells, leading to premature aging, wrinkles, and dark spots. Vitamin C can also help boost collagen production, which is a protein that gives your skin its strength and elasticity.

There are many different face products that contain vitamin C, including serums, creams, and masks. Serums are typically the most effective way to deliver vitamin C to your skin, as they are lightweight and absorb easily. Creams and masks can also be effective, but they may not be as potent as serums.

Some of the benefits of using vitamin C on your skin include:

  • Protecting your skin from sun damage
  • Reducing the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines
  • Fading dark spots and hyperpigmentation
  • Boosting collagen production
  • Improving skin tone and texture
  • Soothing sunburns
  • Promoting wound healing

If you are looking for a way to improve the health and appearance of your skin, vitamin C is a great option. There are many different face products that contain vitamin C, so you can find one that is right for your skin type and concerns.

Here are some specific examples of face products that contain vitamin C:

  • Vitamin C serum: This is a lightweight serum that is typically applied to the face after cleansing. It is a good option for people who want to see results quickly.
  • Vitamin C cream: This is a thicker cream that is typically used as a moisturizer. It is a good option for people who have dry or sensitive skin.
  • Vitamin C mask: This is a mask that is applied to the face for a certain amount of time. It is a good option for people who want a more intense treatment.

When choosing a vitamin C face product, it is important to look for one that contains a stable form of vitamin C. Ascorbic acid is the most common form of vitamin C, but it can be unstable and degrade when exposed to light and air. Other stable forms of vitamin C include magnesium ascorbyl phosphate (MAP) and ascorbyl glucoside.

It is also important to start using vitamin C slowly, especially if you have sensitive skin. You may experience some irritation at first, but this should go away after a few days. If you experience any persistent irritation, stop using the product and consult with a dermatologist.

Hyaluronic Acid

Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance that helps to keep skin hydrated. It is found in the highest concentrations in the skin’s dermis, the layer that is responsible for providing structure and support. Hyaluronic acid can hold up to 1,000 times its weight in water, which is why it is so effective at keeping skin hydrated.

There are many benefits to using hyaluronic acid on your skin. Here are a few of them:

  • Hydration: Hyaluronic acid helps to keep skin hydrated, which can help to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
  • Elasticity: Hyaluronic acid helps to keep skin elastic, which can help to prevent sagging and drooping.
  • Protection: Hyaluronic acid helps to protect skin from damage caused by free radicals.
  • Wound healing: Hyaluronic acid can help to speed up wound healing.
  • Smoothness: Hyaluronic acid can help to smooth out the appearance of skin.

Hyaluronic acid is a safe and effective ingredient for most people. However, it is important to start using it slowly, especially if you have sensitive skin. You may experience some irritation at first, but this should go away after a few days. If you experience any persistent irritation, stop using the product and consult with a dermatologist.

If you are looking for a way to improve the health and appearance of your skin, hyaluronic acid is a great option. It is a safe and effective ingredient that can help to hydrate, plump, and protect your skin.

Sunscreen

Sunscreen is one of the most important things you can do to protect your skin from the sun’s harmful ultraviolet (UV) rays. UV rays can cause a variety of skin problems, including:

  • Sunburn: A painful and sometimes blistering condition that occurs when the skin is exposed to too much UV radiation.
  • Skin cancer: The most common type of cancer in the United States. There are two main types of skin cancer: melanoma and non-melanoma. Melanoma is the most serious type of skin cancer.
  • Premature aging: The appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and age spots.
  • Eye damage: UV rays can damage the eyes and increase the risk of cataracts and macular degeneration.

Sunscreen helps to protect your skin from UV rays by absorbing or reflecting them. It is important to choose a sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30 and to reapply it every two hours, or more often if you are sweating or swimming. A Vegan Sunscreen, that’s also cruelty free, is even better!

Even on cloudy days, it is important to wear sunscreen. UV rays can penetrate clouds, so you are still at risk of sunburn and skin cancer even if it is not sunny outside.

Sunscreen is an important part of a healthy skin care routine. By wearing sunscreen regularly, you can help to protect your skin from the sun’s harmful rays and reduce your risk of developing skin cancer and other skin problems.

Here are some additional tips for using sunscreen:

  • Look for a sunscreen that is labeled as “broad spectrum” and has an SPF of at least 30.
  • Choose a sunscreen that is oil-free and non-comedogenic, which means it will not clog your pores.
  • Apply sunscreen to all exposed skin, including your face, ears, neck, lips, and the tops of your feet.
  • Reapply sunscreen every two hours, or more often if you are sweating or swimming.
  • If you are using sunscreen with a chemical filter, avoid applying it to your lips.

Don’t neglect your skin, feed it and pamper it! It’s the first face you see in the morning and probably the last face you see at night. Next up, we’ll learn more about Retinol!
