We travel a lot! We’ve been to 5 states this summer, 4 National Parks, and in the car at least 100 hours – so we know how to keep ourselves entertained on a road trip.
This summer consisted of a lot of podcasts – mainly the “How Stuff Works” podcasts, mainly “Stuff you Should Know” and “Stuff Mom Never Told You”. We’ve listened to over 50 just this summer.
What’s also always have on hand is our Sirius XM radio channels – we like Liquid Metal and Electric Area, especially the Crystal Method show. We have an old iPod and car adapter that works in any car lighter plug so we can take our account with us to any car. Super handy, and super discontinued, but there are still options out there!
Finally, a great big library of personal favorites! This summer we’ve listened to a lot of electronic music and hip-hop, Pendulum, Infected Mushroom, Plaid, x Clan, AFX, and even some Taylor Swift remixes. They’re upbeat and keep you alert and happy on the road. I always struggle with tiredness after hours of driving, so the right music is key!

One of my favorite things about Turo peer to peer car rental service in the San Francisco area, is that I can bring my own music and sometimes the renters will leave mixed CDs or custom playlists for you to drive to! I drove to and from San Francisco twice this summer, 6 hours+ each way! Having good music to keep me awake and sane was very important!
Here are some of the albums and songs I love right now!
