Photos of the Day: Black is the New Black

Black will always be my favorite “color” – always. When my teachers would tell me “Black isn’t a color” I would reply, “well, then I don’t have one, I like black”, much to their disappointment.  As years went by I grew to like other colors, gold, yellow, hot pink… but they were always accompanied by black. My boots are always black, my coats are always black, but everything in between is allowed a little more leeway. I do prefer grey jeans to blue ones and most of my favorite t-shirts are black, but I try and bring a little color…

RETAIL: A Fashion Retail Parody Web Series

“Welcome to the Stanford & Mitch team! Let’s learn about how to be cool and respect each other!” The web series “RETAIL” is a hilarious take on working fashion retail at one of the many “mall hot spots” or, as you might get the impression from parts of the series, American Apparel itself. I worked retail for years and although I didn’t have the exact experience as in a Stanford & Mitch retail location, the situations are not far from the truth, with a comedic edge. Here’s a couple videos in the series of 7 that will either remind you…

Fashion Icon: Ze! – Electropop Glam-Core Awesome!

Ze! is the Fashion Icon of the week here at Street Fashion Worldwide and there’s no need for an explanation. Her outfits scream ZE! and reflect her electropop glam-core music and personality in a colorful and memorable way. No one can resist her eye-poppingly original outfits or her highly danceable up-beat music and personality – not even those of you who like to keep things a little more conservative. She will grab your head and yank it in her direction, leaving an imprint of neon and wow in your mind forever! She reminds me of my obsession with the 80s…

2012 Olympics Begin and Out Comes The Swag

I love to travel and I used to feel guilty if I wore a tee with a flag or place on it I hadn’t been yet, but I decided a little while ago – maybe after visiting New York, or seeing the great travel tee inventions of Gelada, that it didn’t matter. Even if I would never go to that place, I could still show my appreciation for it. I found a few designers who are really all about appreciating places, and just in time for the Olympics. Whether you wear a flag for their athletes or the place itself, it doesn’t…

American Apparel Finds Retro Gold with Thermochromatic Tops

Back in the heyday of slap bracelets, sideways ponytails and neon, was the king of cool, Hyper Color tees. They were on every kids wishlist but unfortunately expensive and some of us could only dream, while others thought they were a myth entirely. Now, with the arise of Neon to main stream fashion’s forefront, with it comes reminders for those of us from a time of the Hypercolor Tee. The designers at American Apparel were so ready for this. If you’re ready too, check out non Gamstop casinos for some retro fun! If you aren’t sure what Hypercolor or Thermochromatic…

Savannah Georgia Style

Savannah is a surprising city, small and artsy. When you hang out where the young people tend to hang out, you see a city centered around its art college Savannah College of Art and Design or SCAD as it’s known. A huge range of diversity and style is on every corner and the balmy bicycle-centric town is a great place to feel at home and see how much culture Savannah has to offer. While sitting at one of the many places where this culture can be seen, working on my computer on a hot afternoon, most of the people I…
