Buying a new pair of sunglasses for the summer? Well, then you may want to know what to look out for and also what not to really pay attention to. Take a look below and see. When shopping for sunglasses there are four things you should consider: Check the numbers. The sunglasses you choose should block out 99 to 100 percent of UV radiation. The radiation blocked should be UVA and UVB. This information should be listed on the sunglasses label. Check the fit. If your sunglasses don’t fit properly, then you may not be getting full…

Nectar Sunglasses – Retro Originality, Modern Style
I’m sort of addicted to sunglasses as you may have noticed, and I love the original and /or retro styles when I can get them. I’ve been sporting some vintage ‘big eyed’ pink sunnies from the 80s for much of the summer, but the visibility in them is pretty terrible. They’re excellent for covering up tired eyes but not for a whole lot more, so when I got my new Nectar ‘Drift’ sunglasses I was pretty stoked! Mine have a special kind of sunburst coated lens, rarely seen on anything but cheesy gas station glasses that people going out on boats for the day have…
Warby Parker Sunglasses – On the Road to Spring!
Although it’s still cold in much of the country, believe it or not, spring it on it’s way and we’re back on the road to warmer weather (physically on the road as well as metaphorically). We just left our winter cabin rental and are back to traveling the country, starting with a month in Oklahoma City which sent us from 30 degrees in Colorado to a balmy 78 degrees! Upon arriving here and finding the weather so much more inviting, we wen’t shopping our first weekend in town for some summer essentials: tank tops, sandals and some short shorts to…
Nerdsday: 8 Bit Sunglasses of Awesome – Have Arrived!
Possibly you remember when I wrote a blog about Russian company, Samal Design, producing a series of super expensive sunglasses with 8 bit style frames (here). I knew it would only be a matter of time before the 8 Bit Sunglasses were made cheaply, and ready for mass consumption, by me, and other nerds who love 8 Bit Awesome. Check out these beauties available on amazon now: 8 Bit…

Stevieboi found the future
Somewhere between the invention of the rocket bra and the self drying jacket in Back to the Future, we lost sight of the importance of future forward fashion. Sure we have iPhones and robots on mars but as soon as we figured we could just pretend people in the future wore different clothing than ‘today’, we stopped working towards it in reality. “Future people” became something we were no longer responsible for, but really, that’s us dammit! WE are supposed to dress like Mad Max or Blade Runner! And to quote Futurama, “Welcome to the land of tomorrow!”. Maybe adding…
